Question: Looking for an MMORPG with a very good story line, and quests associated to it?
Hey, I am Looking for an MMORPG. Not just any mmorpg. I could easily go to mmohut.com and search for any mmorpg I want. No, I am looking for an mmorpg that has a great story line, and quests that bring you along with it from the very beginning. Not one where it has a "Story Line" but no quests with it. Something unique and intriguing. I get bored very easily, and I don't have the time necessary to go through and download, play, and find the right game for me. My download speed is slower than it should be, and I have no clue why (So please don't tell me to just try games, I have. I have tried many, but I get bored as I said, and barely get far enough in due to lack of anything intriguing) Which brings me to ask you guys to help me(Not download and play for me) From the mmorpgs that you have played and perhaps even still play, can you list the ones with the best story lines and quests associated with the story line, and also those that have a lot of content. Such as jobs and instances that have their own little story, and perhaps even a "Bounty" type monster hunt where you get quests to hunt very strong, rare, and dangerous monsters. Also, it has to be a free mmorpg. So no one say WoW. It is a game that was made as a money tree (I have my reasons, I shall not rant about them, just don't mention WoW please) Also, games such as dc universe I can unfortunately not run. Even on lowest settings. I have on my computer right now Ragnarok online, DDO, and Runes of Magic. Also, yes, runes of magic is like WoW, but not a money tree. Anyways, thanks for the list of games. This is all opinions from you guys on what free online mmorpg with a good story line and story line quests, as well as many things to do besides kill, kill, kill. Thank you. P.s. I would like to play SW: The Old Republic, but that I cannot run either. I used systemrequirementslab, and they said that my video card and processor cannot handle it, even though I have one that runs 2.0 ghz, and thats what it needs to run, and my video card has the right shaders and memory to run it. I ask someone to please let me know if I am still able to play it even though that site said no. Thanks.
Answer:
First off, learn to write without making it look like a brick wall.
Second, if you're computer cannot run games that are 2-years-old, and expecting to play something new, you're either stuck with the old games that don't do what you want, or you need to get a new machine.
The only MMO I could think of that would probably run on your system, and may have decent story arc quests might be Everquest 2. It's now free to play. It's a game about 8 years old, so your computer should handle it. http://www.everquest2.com/
get fallout 3 Not new vegas
What is your PC spec? Have you tried Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine? Its have a good storyline, its about becoming Demon buster and change the world and stuff. You can fight Demon (not just demon but many mythological monster too even Angel and Gods) by yourself or catch Demon to fight alongside you..
EDIT: How about Cabal? Its pretty awesome game I'd say, The quest does relate to the storyline. I suggest you search the gameplay of it on Youtube, The Skill animation of that game is badass.
Fallout 3, New Vegas
So far for me it still World of Warcraft.. each race and class have their own storyline.
I would recommend Scarlet Legacy: http://www.gamingclimax.com/game-list/sc… . The game is about saving the Princess Scarlet and the whole game is very immersed in its story line. You even get a magic mirror that the Princess uses to talk to you while you are playing and doing quests.
DDO is one of my favorite games but I see you already have tried that.
SW:TOR is not free to play. Star Trek Online: http://www.gamingclimax.com/game-list/st… is going free to play this month so maybe thats what you heard about.
Finally if your looking for a bit more detailed search than what mmohut has and a better list of games. I think mmohut currently has around 300 games on their list, gamingclimax.com has 1000+ . Check out the game matcher at http://www.gamingclimax.com/game-matchma…
You can search games by genre, type, status, originality, population, and more
Once you find some games, if you check out their individual game pages, they will tell you even more in the overview section, like guilds, crating, violence, sound effects, character customization, subscription models and a whole lot more.
Depends what you want, if you don't want to download a game or pay for it, adventure quest and related games are good to use but id you want any type of game thats a MMORPG then buy a game like World of Warcraft,
League of Legends- I have not actually played it and i am not sure it is an rpg but they all think it is currently the best MMO.
