I don't know too much but if you want to check it out for yourself, there is a demo out for PS3. I'm sure it's also out for Xbox 360.
XII-2 or XIII-2? XIII-2 has a demo out on PSN and XBL. XII-2 was for the ps2. It was a girly game heavily based in j-pop, had easily one of the worst stories of any Final Fantasy so far (and that's saying something) and some really annoying characters, but the gameplay was pretty good. Each character had a costume that they could change, the costumes were basically Job Classes from FFIII/FFV/FFTactics. Imo the game wasn't particularly good, but it's probably damn cheap now so it's not much of a risk.
