Question: How long will the xbox 360 be supported by Xbox live (Online multiplayer)?
Just wanting to know when. Also, when will a new Xbox.htm">xbox come out you think? 2014?
Answer:
We can't know exactly how long, but i'm sure it will be a very long time. Probably until the players on the 360 dwindle down to tiny numbers. As of late, there are rumors of the next xbox being released next year!
Microsoft stated that the Xbox 360 will run through its cycle until 2015. By that time, the new Xbox will comeout. I am pretty sure the Xbox 360 will still use Xbox live, but to a limited extent, primarily because the new console will most likely have new gaming features that will not be fully compatible on the original 360.
quite some time.
They didn't kick off original xbox xbl until recently......
next xbox is at least 2 years out
Possibly October/November 2013.
"The next-gen Xbox's GPU will derive from 2011's AMD 6000 series, similar to the Radeon HD 6670, which supports DirectX11, 1080p HD, multi-display output and 3D, IGN reports, citing sources close to the project. Mass production of its GPU will begin at the end of 2012, IGN says, with a full-console launch scheduled in October or November 2013.
With these specs, the next Xbox will have six times the processing power of the Xbox 360 and is expected to support performance 20 percent greater than Nintendo's Wii U, which is using the R770, a chip that is competitively stronger than the GPUs of both the Xbox 360 and PS3.
Previously uncovered Microsoft resumes listed gesture and voice input, which suggests some form of Kinect integration will be present in the coming Xbox model."

Best guess for the next Xbox is late 2013, or perhaps 2014.
Live for the 360 will probably last for a good long time; they only discontinued Live for the original Xbox after the 360 was out for almost 5 years, and they only did that because it was stopping them from adding new features to the 360. The 360 is way more popular than the Xbox was, so support will likely be for at least that long -- unless it's stopping them from improving the next Xbox's Live.
Until no one uses it anymore.
