The Ancient Warriors Chain of Command is easy to understand and easy to advance in rank, all you have to do is participate. There is no penalty for slow or even zero advancement, but there can be advantages to Rank.

The advantages of advancement within the ranks are many fold: The opinions of higher ranking members hold more weight, when new positions become available Rank is considered. In games, the ranking member may opt to make decisions concerning how the team plays.

Promotions are given out on a seniority basis... The longer you stay in AW, the higher your rank becomes. In addition to automatic seniority promotions, the leadership may hand out up to one promotion per member/per month based the on recommendations from members who hold an official position with the clan.
